The average import price for vanilla stood at $66,897 per ton in 2022, reducing by -52.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a mild contraction. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+277.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, imports of vanilla into Russia contracted to 2.5 tons, with a decrease of -13.5% on the year before. Overall, total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the last three years.
