In April 2024, the average export price for stainless steel, flat-rolled, width less than 600mm, cold-rolleds amounted to $3,302 per ton, which is down by -12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2024 an increase of 20% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $4,689 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to April 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Norway ($5,458 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($3,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Norway (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
