In April 2024, the average export price for stainless steel, flat-rolled, width less than 600mm, cold-rolleds amounted to $4,006 per ton, picking up by 8.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a slight slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2023 when the average export price increased by 19% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $5,058 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to April 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($5,520 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($2,894 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price posted a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2024 when the average import price increased by 142% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $9,666 per ton. From March 2024 to April 2024, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
