In 2022, the average import price for stamps; stamp-impressed paper; cheque forms; banknotes, stock, share or bond certificates and the like amounted to $105,434 per ton, dropping by -3.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 189%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $365,579 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($692,042 per ton), while the price for Jordan ($5,882 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+31.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($124,829 per ton), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($51,833 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Qatar (+48.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
