The average import price for steel, alloy stood at $995 per ton in March 2022, shrinking by -2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2021 when the average import price increased by 9.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,093 per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to March 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
