The average import price for steel, alloy stood at $900 per ton in November 2023, which is down by -5.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a pronounced slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 34% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,637 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
