The average export price for steel, alloy stood at $2,887 per ton in December 2023, falling by -8.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a pronounced curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 9.6% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $3,848 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($3,970 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,413 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
