In March 2022, the average export price for steel alloy wire of silico-manganese steels amounted to $1,203 per ton, declining by -13.7% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2021 an increase of 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,483 per ton in October 2021; however, from November 2021 to March 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($1,459 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($1,184 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for steel alloy wire of silico-manganese steels stood at $1,123 per ton in March 2022, falling by -29.6% against the previous month.
