In March 2022, the average import price for steel, stainless; cold-drawn or cold-rolled, tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia amounted to $9,084 per ton, jumping by 34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a temperate increase from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, import price for steel, stainless; cold-drawn or cold-rolled, tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia increased by +34.3% against February 2022 indices. From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+8.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 59% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $31,124 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
