Price for Steel, Stainless; Cold-Drawn or Cold-Rolled, Tubes and Pipes of Circular Cross-Section in Ukraine (FOB) - 2023
The average export price for steel, stainless; cold-drawn or cold-rolled, tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia stood at $14,146 per ton in August 2023, rising by 5.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 5.6% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $15,541 per ton. From July 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($18,307 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($2,105 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+11.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for steel, stainless; cold-drawn or cold-rolled, tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia stood at $8,261 per ton in 2022, growing by 12% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated mild growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for steel, stainless; cold-drawn or cold-rolled, tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia increased by +29.1% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 49%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,765 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($14,035 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($6,346 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In general, exports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The smallest decline of -0.8% was in 2020.
