The average import price for steel, stainless; (excluding cold-drawn or cold-rolled), tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia stood at $1,155 per ton in July 2023, rising by 47% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated a perceptible increase from August 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.7% over the last eleven-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, import price for steel, stainless; (excluding cold-drawn or cold-rolled), tubes and pipes of circular cross-sectia increased by +47.3% against June 2023 indices. The import price peaked at $1,346 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($17,375 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($2,184 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kuwait (+36.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
