The average export price for steel, stainless; semi-finished products, other than of rectangular cross-sectia stood at $2,316 per ton in March 2022, surging by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2021 when the average export price increased by 17% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,770 per ton. From December 2021 to March 2022, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($2,558 per ton), while the average price for exports to China stood at $2,289 per ton.
