In 2021, the average export price for steel, stainless; semi-finished products, other than of rectangular cross-sectia amounted to $1,422 per ton, waning by -25.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 176% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,900 per ton, and then contracted remarkably in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($1,991 per ton), while the average price for exports to India amounted to $285 per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Jordan (+60.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
