The average import price for sugar confectionery; (excluding chewing gum, including white chocolate), not containing cocoa stood at $2,972 per ton in November 2023, dropping by -13.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 21% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,640 per ton. From May 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,195 per ton), while the price for Colombia ($1,675 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uruguay ($5,331 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bolivia ($2,469 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
