In October 2023, the average export price for sugar confectionery; (excluding chewing gum, including white chocolate), not containing cocoa amounted to $6,266 per ton, picking up by 13% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($11,031 per ton), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($2,811 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
