In 2022, the average export price for sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives of hydrocarbons; whether or not halogenateds amounted to $4,232 per ton, growing by 36% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 97%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Over the period under review, imports, however, posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 178%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 706 tons, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
