In 2022, the average import price for synthetic staple fibres, carded, combed or otherwise processed for spinnings amounted to $3,480 per ton, rising by 22% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 24%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
