The average export price for tantalum; articles thereof, including waste and scrap stood at $91,155 per ton in 2022, surging by 64% against the previous year. Overall, the export price posted tangible growth. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $93,007 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were South Korea ($94,733 per ton) and India ($91,931 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($84,016 per ton) and United States Minor Outlying Islands ($90,494 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
