In 2022, the average import price for tantalum; articles thereof, including waste and scrap amounted to $298,915 per ton, surging by 26% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 52%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $399,203 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 47% against the previous year.
