In 2022, the average import price for textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes amounted to $3.5 per square meter, leveling off at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 54%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6.3 per square meter. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($8.9 per square meter), while the price for China ($1.6 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, imports of textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes reduced to $8.9M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at $8.9M in 2021, and then reduced modestly in the following year.

Over the period under review, total exports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +27.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +106.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 57%. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, exports of textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes totaled $4.6M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years.
