The average import price for textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes stood at $2.1 per square meter in January 2024, with a decrease of -27% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 40% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $2.9 per square meter in December 2023, and then shrank remarkably in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($8.3 per square meter), while the price for China ($1.6 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (-3.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, the exports of reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, exports of textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes surged to $2.4M in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
