In 2022, the average import price for textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes amounted to $1.6 per square meter, rising by 19% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 25% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2.2 per square meter in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($7.6 per square meter), while the price for Colombia ($0.6 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

As a result, imports reached the peak of 847K square meters, and then declined remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, imports of textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyurethanes fell to $997K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 154% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $1.1M, and then fell in the following year.
