The average import price for textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyvinyl chlorides stood at $3.9 per square meter in 2022, increasing by 6.2% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for textile fabrics; impregnated, coated, covered or laminated with polyvinyl chlorides increased by +115.7% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 75%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Over the period under review, the export price showed a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 103% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $6.1 per square meter in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to February 2024, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In February 2024, the country with the highest price was Albania ($7.0 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($896 per thousand square meters) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
