Price for Titanium; Waste and Scrap in Japan (FOB) - 2023

In July 2023, the average titanium; waste and scrap export price amounted to $5,340 per ton, waning by -25.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a mild contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 20% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $7,897 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the United States ($8,265 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($2,827 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The import price peaked at $10,799 per ton in June 2023, and then fell in the following month.
