In November 2023, the average import price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped amounted to $6,911 per ton, reducing by -6.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.2% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, export price for tobacco; partly or wholly stemmed or stripped decreased by -45.3% against April 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 76% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $14,743 per ton. From May 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($8,069 per ton), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($8,069 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
