The average export price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid stood at $1,674 per ton in November 2023, falling by -5.9% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 6.3% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1,778 per ton in October 2023, and then fell in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,967 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($926 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
