Price for Trade Advertising Material and Commercial Catalogue in Hungary (FOB) - 2023

In October 2023, the average export price for trade advertising materials and commercial catalogues amounted to $2,245 per ton, waning by -5.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 15% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $2,710 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($4,458 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($1,994 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for trade advertising materials and commercial catalogues stood at $3,281 per ton in 2022, rising by 20% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 41%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $3,584 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($6,855 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($2,027 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
