Price for Travelling Rugs of Synthetic Fibre in Belgium (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average import price for blankets and travelling rugs of synthetic fibres amounted to $4.8 per unit, dropping by -40.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a noticeable increase from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, travelling rugs of synthetic fibre import price decreased by -40.3% against July 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 194% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $9.7 per unit in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($11.5 per unit), while the price for France ($156 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+29.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In August 2023, the average export price for blankets and travelling rugs of synthetic fibres amounted to $9.9 per unit, waning by -8.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a slight contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 52% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $13.2 per unit in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($18.1 per unit), while the average price for exports to Luxembourg ($4.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Travelling Rugs of Synthetic Fibre in Belgium
