Price for Truck and Bus Tyre in Costa Rica (FOB) - 2022
The average truck and bus tyre export price stood at $154 per unit in 2022, reducing by -5.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 17%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $176 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Honduras ($154 per unit) and the Dominican Republic ($154 per unit), while the average price for exports to Chile ($154 per unit) and Guatemala ($154 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Chile (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average truck and bus tyre import price amounted to $186 per unit, with an increase of 9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 27% against the previous year.
