In February 2024, the average import price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted amounted to $5.8 per unit, picking up by 8.1% against the previous month. Over the period from February 2023 to February 2024, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2023 when the average import price increased by 28% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $7.0 per unit. From December 2023 to February 2024, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Peru ($10.6 per unit), while the price for Guatemala ($3.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Honduras (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In February 2024, the country with the highest price was China ($14.0 per unit), while the average price for exports to Free Zones ($2.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to February 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, approx. 9.9M units of t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted were imported into Colombia; growing by 2% on 2021 figures.
