The average import price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted stood at $4.8 per unit in April 2024, picking up by 19% against the previous month. Over the period from April 2023 to April 2024, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 29% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $6.6 per unit in November 2023; however, from December 2023 to April 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2024, the country with the highest price was Germany ($11.3 per unit), while the price for Bangladesh ($2.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
