The average export price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted stood at $8.9 per unit in April 2024, which is down by -8.9% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2023 when the average export price increased by 25% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $11.9 per unit in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to April 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In April 2024, the country with the highest price was Italy ($24.2 per unit), while the average price for exports to Spain ($5.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Overall, the import price saw a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2023 an increase of 21% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $4.3 per unit in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to April 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($7.5 per unit), while the price for Bangladesh ($1.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
