In April 2024, the average import price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted amounted to $1.9 per unit, falling by -12.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 43% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3.6 per unit in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to April 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2024, the country with the highest price was China ($3.9 per unit), while the price for Bangladesh ($1.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From April 2023 to April 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+13.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted stood at $1.8 per unit in 2022, increasing by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 27% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $5.2 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($7.7 per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($1.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports of T-Shirts, Singlets and Other Vests; of Cotton, Knitted or Crocheted in Slovenia

For the fourth year in a row, Slovenia recorded growth in supplies from abroad of t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted, which increased by 20% to 69M units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 95% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, imports of t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted skyrocketed to $153M in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 58%. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
