In June 2024, the average export price for t-shirts, singlets and other vests; of cotton, knitted or crocheted amounted to $3.7 per unit, with an increase of 5.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2023 an increase of 16% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $4.5 per unit in December 2023; however, from January 2024 to June 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($6.9 per unit), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($1.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2023 to June 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5.0 per unit in October 2023; however, from November 2023 to June 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2024, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($13.0 per unit), while the price for Moldova ($1.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2023 to June 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Moldova (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
