Price for Twine, Cordage or Textile Net in Greece (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average export price for nets of twine, cordage, rope or textile materials amounted to $4,312 per ton, with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 20%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($5,166 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($3,377 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for nets of twine, cordage, rope or textile materials stood at $5,776 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -19% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 19% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $7,398 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($24,330 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($2,355 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Twine, Cordage or Textile Net in Greece
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of nets of twine, cordage, rope or textile materials, when their volume decreased by -27.4% to 8.2K tons.
