In August 2023, the average urea and thiourea resins import price amounted to $1,367 per ton, with an increase of 27% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded notable growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 an increase of 305% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $11,139 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,461 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($656 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
