In December 2023, the average export price for vegetable oils; linseed oil and its fractions, crude, not chemically modifieds amounted to $2,785 per ton, picking up by 42% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 79% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $3,951 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($4,011 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1,215 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
