In September 2023, the average import price for vegetable products not elsewhere specified or includeds amounted to $323 per ton, with an increase of 4.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 15% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $349 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($494 per ton), while the price for the Philippines ($62.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
