Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $38,446 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Vegetable Saps and Extracts; of Hops in Hong Kong SAR
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of vegetable saps and extracts; of hopses, when their volume decreased by -11.6% to 266 tons. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, exports of vegetable saps and extracts; of hopses totaled $5.3M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.1% over the last three years.
