In 2022, the average export price for vegetables; olives, provisionally preserved but unsuitable in that state for immediate consumptia amounted to $2,221 per ton, dropping by -16.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw temperate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 66%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,811 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($2,604 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($2,168 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iran (+3.9%).
