In 2022, the average import price for vegetables; olives, provisionally preserved but unsuitable in that state for immediate consumptia amounted to $1,084 per ton, falling by -59.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 74%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,657 per ton in 2021, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,510 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($891 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
