Price for Vegetables; Olives, Provisionally Preserved But Unsuitable in That State for Immediate Consumption in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2022

The average import price for vegetables; olives, provisionally preserved but unsuitable in that state for immediate consumptia stood at $2,691 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $3,801 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Turkey.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Turkey amounted to +0.1% per year.

Imports of Vegetables; Olives, Provisionally Preserved But Unsuitable in That State for Immediate Consumption in Uzbekistan

For the fourth consecutive year, Uzbekistan recorded growth in purchases abroad of vegetables; olives, provisionally preserved but unsuitable in that state for immediate consumptia, which increased by 17% to 8.1 tons in 2022. In general, total imports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +16.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +58.5% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 17%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, imports of vegetables; olives, provisionally preserved but unsuitable in that state for immediate consumptia totaled $22K in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +13.1% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 13%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
