In 2022, the average export price for vegetables; seed potatoes, fresh or chilleds amounted to $488 per ton, dropping by -27.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate slight growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 50% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $989 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($842 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Sudan ($294 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Rwanda (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+20.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
