The average export price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen stood at $1,428 per ton in November 2023, dropping by -2.4% against the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 20% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1,471 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Spain ($1,544 per ton) and Italy ($1,542 per ton), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($1,269 per ton) and Russia ($1,359 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
