In October 2023, the average import price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen amounted to $1,805 per ton, with an increase of 18% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.4%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Ecuador ($1,929 per ton) and China ($1,864 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($1,341 per ton) and Turkey ($1,761 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $2,063 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for China.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Sweden amounted to +3.5% per month.
