In October 2023, the average export price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen amounted to $1,615 per ton, shrinking by -22.6% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated moderate growth from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen increased by +15.6% against August 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2023 an increase of 49% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,086 per ton, and then contracted markedly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,908 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($1,118 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, import price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen decreased by -43.9% against September 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 70% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,925 per ton in September 2023, and then dropped notably in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($1,080 per ton), while the price for Egypt amounted to $1,074 per ton.

The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
