In October 2023, the average export price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses amounted to $11,667 per ton, jumping by 22% against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.8%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($18,973 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($6,519 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

As a result, import price reached the peak level of $45,644 per ton. From May 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($41,214 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan ($6,501 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
