In November 2023, the average export price for wadding; other articles thereof, of man-made fibreses amounted to $10,135 per ton, with a decrease of -12.8% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2023 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.9%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 an increase of 39% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $11,619 per ton in October 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($21,131 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($5,741 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
