In March 2022, the average export price for wallpaper and similar wall coverings; window transparencies of papers amounted to $2,841 per ton, declining by -12.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2021 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $3,411 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($4,124 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($2,670 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for wallpaper and similar wall coverings; window transparencies of papers stood at $3,487 per ton in March 2022, dropping by -19.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2022 an increase of 14% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4,322 per ton, and then fell remarkably in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($4,806 per ton), while the price for Taiwan (Chinese) ($2,374 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

For the third year in a row, Belarus recorded decline in shipments abroad of wallpaper and similar wall coverings; window transparencies of papers, which decreased by -72.4% to 4.9K tons in 2022.
