The average export price for waste, parings and scrap, of plasticses stood at $392 per ton in March 2022, which is down by -9.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2021 when the average export price increased by 19% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $503 per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to March 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($655 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia amounted to $337 per ton.

From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
